Stop Guessing Between Test Dates

A practice test gives you one number. It doesn’t tell you which questions went wrong, which topics are costing the most points, or whether the last two months of work are paying off. Every Foley Prep family gets a live page that does — every topic, color-coded, updated after every test.

Every Topic, Color-Coded

This is a real student’s view, filled in with an example. Every question from every practice test is sorted into the topic it tests, then the topic lands in one of four columns by how reliably they’re getting it right — Beginner is where the next points are, Mastery is banked.

Each card shows the level, what it rests on (“5/10 last test · 13/30 total”), and exactly how many more they need right to move up a band. Tapping one opens every question they’ve seen on that topic.

These are our topics, not the College Board’s

An official score report sorts your student’s results into eight broad content domains — “Algebra”, “Information and Ideas”, and six more like them. That tells you roughly where they’re losing points and nothing about what to do next.

A score report says Algebra We say Linear Equations/Expressions · Quadratic Equations/Expressions · Manipulating/Simplifying · Solving · Slope · Verbal Translation

Our tutors write and tag every question themselves, against more than a hundred of these — we call them Elements — so a test gets marked on the specific skills it uses rather than the domain it belongs to. That’s the difference between knowing your student is shaky at algebra and knowing which twenty minutes of work will fix it.

And the Short Version, For You

The same student as above, written for the person paying rather than the person testing. No tier board to decode.

“Jordan” is an example, not a real student — but the layout, the wording and the maths behind every number are exactly what families see when they log in. The three topics named here are the same red and orange cards from the board above.

Four Questions, Answered in One Glance

No dashboards to learn and no jargon to decode. We built this for the person paying the bill, not the person taking the test.

Where We Started

The first score on the board, and the honest difference between then and now — up or down. No cherry-picking a good morning.

Where We Are

Their most recent score, and their best so far — side by side, so a single off morning never reads as the whole story.

What We’re Working On

The topics costing the most points on a real test — ranked by what they’re worth, not just by what’s weakest. A rare topic they’re bad at matters less than a common one they’re shaky on.

What’s Next

The score they’re aiming at, how long until the official test date — and how many points are genuinely within reach from the topics they’re working on right now.

Circles & angles 2 of 4
Quadratic Equations/Expressions ~4 a test

Weaker on paper, but it barely shows up. We chase the one that costs more.

We Chase the Topics That Actually Cost Points

Most reports rank your student’s weakest topics. That’s the wrong list. A topic they’re poor at that shows up once a test matters far less than a middling one that shows up a dozen times.

  • Ranked by points at stake, not by lowest percentage
  • Counted from how often each topic really appears on a test
  • Turned into a number: what moving those topics up one level is actually worth
  • The most recent test counts the most — old work fades
  • Practice is tracked separately, so it never inflates a score

Your Student Sees Every Question

Tapping a topic opens every question your student has been asked on it. Green is right, red is wrong. Below the grid, each question is there in full — what they picked, how long it took them, and how that compares to everyone else who sat the same test. The correct answer stays hidden until they ask for it, so a question they missed is still a question worth practicing. Below: their ten Linear Equations/Expressions questions from Practice Test 3.

Nothing Gets Lost

Every question from every test they’ve sat stays here, green or red, for as long as they’re with us.

The Answer Waits

A missed question keeps its answer hidden behind a button, so it stays worth practicing instead of being spoiled.

Practice Built From Their Misses

One tap turns the red squares into a practice set — only questions they’ve already seen, never a generic worksheet.

How a Family Gets Started

Three steps. The first one is free, and most families are done with it in a morning.

1
Take a Practice Test

Come into any Foley Prep location and sit a full-length, proctored digital SAT® or ACT®. It’s free, and there’s nothing to sign up for.

2
We Mark Every Question

Each question is matched to the skill it tests — linear equations, punctuation, and so on — and your student’s page is built from the results.

3
You Both See the Plan

You get a one-screen summary. Your student gets the full board, every question they missed, and practice built from those exact questions.

Questions Parents Ask

Does this cost extra?
No. Progress tracking is included with every Foley Prep program at no additional cost, and it stays available for as long as your student is with us.
Can I see it, or is it just for my student?
Both. Your student gets the full board and their question history; you get a one-screen summary written for a parent — where they started, where they are, what we’re working on and what’s next. You sign in with your own account and open your student’s page.
How often does it update?
After every scored practice test. The most recent test counts the most toward each topic’s level, so the board follows where your student is now rather than averaging away their progress.
What if they’ve only taken one test?
You’ll still get the full topic board and every question from that sitting. The parts that need two tests to mean anything — the trajectory, how far they’ve come — stay hidden until there’s a second one, rather than showing you a line with one point on it.
Is the “within reach” number a predicted score?
No, and we’re careful about that. It starts from a score your student has actually earned, then adds what their focus topics are worth if each moves up one level — measured against real scored tests on our own platform. It’s what the work in front of them is worth, not a promise about a particular morning.
Does practicing inflate the scores?
Never. Practice sets are built from questions your student has already seen the answers to, so counting them would turn the board into a participation trophy. Practice is tracked and celebrated separately — levels only move on real test questions.

See Your Own Student’s Board

Come in and take a practice test. By the end of the week this page is filled in with their results — every topic placed, every missed question saved, and a clear number on what the next few weeks of work are worth.

Progress tracking comes with every Foley Prep program at no extra cost.
