Pay & Benefits

No "competitive pay" hand-waving — here are the actual numbers.

Full-time · Starting Salary
$48,000–$60,000
per year
Part-time · Hourly
Est. $24–$29
per hour

Where you land in the range depends on your experience, test scores, and availability. Hourly and salaried pay are set to the same scale — worked over a full-time year, the hourly rate lands right around the starting salary range.

1400+On the SAT®

Less crowd control. More lightbulb moments.

A 1400+ SAT (or an equivalent ACT® score) puts you in roughly the top 5% of test takers — and past our bar. No hall duty, no 150-student rosters, just focused students who chose to be here. Strong subject-area tutors are welcome too, even without a test score to show us.

Questions Before You Apply

Do I need teaching experience?

No. Most of our tutors started with a strong score and zero classroom experience. Training is paid, and you shadow experienced tutors before running your own sessions.

Do you hire college students?

Yes — college students and recent grads make up a big part of our team. Part-time hourly schedules are built around your classes, and summer-only roles are available.

Can I tutor online?

Established tutors run some sessions online, but we're not hiring online-only tutors right now — all openings are in person at our seven New Jersey centers.

What happens after I apply?

You'll get an email confirmation right away. We review applications continuously and will reach out to set up a short conversation. If it seems like a fit, we'll set up a live demonstration so you can demonstrate your skills.

For Students & Parents

Here for tutoring, not a job?

We're a New Jersey tutoring and test prep company — SAT and ACT prep, academic subjects, and entrance exams, in person at our seven centers or live online. Come in and take a practice test to see where your student stands.
