The GRE® is a computer-adaptive test with three main sections:
60 minutes • 2 essays on analyzing issues and arguments
70 minutes • 40 questions on math concepts and problem solving
70 minutes • 40 questions on reading and grammar
Nearly daily test dates year-round • Max 5 tests/year • 21-day waiting period
Test at least 3 months before application deadline for retake flexibility
