The PreACT® assesses English, mathematics, reading, and science skills to help students gauge college readiness and prepare for the ACT®. Foley Prep tutors help students build confidence across all four sections while developing effective test-taking strategies.
We outline a clear plan after an initial meeting, then keep families updated as students build confidence and improve their scores across all sections.
Refresh grammar rules, math concepts, reading strategies, and science reasoning skills that appear throughout the PreACT.
Students complete section drills and full-length practice tests to build pacing and endurance for the actual exam.
We discuss test-day routines, time management strategies, and ways to stay focused throughout the exam.
Instruction focuses on all four scored sections of the PreACT® so students arrive confident and prepared for both the PreACT® and future ACT® exams.
The PreACT® is a standardized, curriculum-based achievement test designed to prepare 10th-grade students for the ACT®. The PreACT® provides students with an estimated ACT® score on the same 1–36 scale (with a maximum score of 35) and valuable insights to inform instruction and guide course selection.
The test includes four sections—English, mathematics, reading, and science—mirroring the ACT® format to familiarize students with the testing experience. The PreACT® also includes an interest inventory to help students explore potential career paths aligned with their interests.
