Dear Foley Prep Family,

I’m writing to announce a major expansion of our footprint and services to help Bell Works tenants’ families and surrounding towns in Monmouth County. In 2017, Foley Prep became one of the first tenants to be part of the exciting Bell Works project, and we’re stoked to be able to serve our fellow tenants and the wider community by doing what we do best: delivering superb education and advising.

Partnerships for a better world

In partnership with the Bell Works ownership, Foley Prep is going the extra mile by expanding our Bell Works footprint sevenfold to keep our students safe and socially healthy in a world-class learning environment. For the duration of the pandemic, Foley Prep has secured exclusive use of the brand new, big (8,000 square foot), Class-A conference center inside Bell Works. It’s one of the nicest conference centers I have ever visited – when it opened in 2018, I thought “this place is meant for boardroom-level decision-makers.” It really is like stepping onto the set of one of the non-cheesy Star Trek movies.

In addition to partnering with the Bell Works building, several of the Bell Works tenant companies will be subsidizing this Foley Prep program for their employees. This is an idea that you might want to share with your employer, many of which are looking for ways to assist employees as they return to work.

Round one: a hundred 7th-12th graders

We are planning to limit the first group to one hundred 7th-12th graders grouped by age and academic subject. There are two major service categories: 1) supervised learning spaces 7:30am – 5:00pm, and 2) instructor-led subject-specific lessons for individuals and small groups from 1:00pm – 5:00pm. If the program grows to more than 100 students, we have the option to grow into more space inside Bell Works.

Academics and test prep – a perfect pairing

Just as in our other locations, the inclusive packages include in-person instruction in sciences through AP Biology, Chemistry and Physics, all math subjects through AP Calculus, ELA, History, and others. Test prep is also included: for years, we have been prepping middle schoolers for SSAT, ISEE, MCVSD, and of course high schoolers (and some precocious middle schoolers) get top-notch SAT and ACT prep.

By incorporating SAT and ACT prep, we will ensure students are motivated to learn at the highest standard, so you know that getting an A in an online class translates into real, tangible understanding.

In response to growing demand across the board, this past week I doubled the footprint of our Rumson-Fair Haven location. So, we will offer similar programming to what you find at Bell Works in Warren, Haddonfield, Holmdel, and Rumson-Fair Haven. We also have our staff of K-5 teachers in these locations, so do ask about that if you’re interested.

Registration & more details

Our mission is to first help the Bell Works community get back into the wonderful rhythm we had pre-pandemic. Thus, children of Bell Works employees will be given priorty in enrollment though August 30th. Until then, we are taking fully refundable enrollments from Foley Prep families who wish to join. As soon as the Bell Works tenants’ children are sorted out in the next week, we will inform you of whether you’re place is secured. If we cannot accommodate you, we will issue a full refund. My sense is that we will fill up by September 15th, but by August 27th, we will know what our roster looks like.

My team and I have been planning this project for weeks, but, as with all great relationships, it’s truly been years in the making. As we all know, what the schools are going to do this fall is still a moving target, and Foley Prep is ready to adapt to changing circumstances. I look forward to spearheading our efforts in New Jersey and see what we are creating as an emerging model in the new education landscape.
